Optiplan Kitchens and Manor Interiors

Good Morning All - we bought a new Cala home in May this year and last month, having spoken with their customer service contact and exchanged several emails etc, on 11th November, I paid Optiplan Kitchens and Manor Interniors, £961.62 for some additional kitchen units for the utility room.

I send them an email last night, to chase the ETA on delivery, and was advised they have gone into administration? First I had heard of it? Surely they knew this was the case when they took my money, less than a month ago?

Any advice on how I can retrieve my money back would be greatly appreciated.

    No, the administrators were only appointed on the 30 November. The company is almost certain to have known it was in trouble but generally you dont want potential customers to know that otherwise it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy as people will avoid you and so make the chances of surviving even lower.

    A business can continue operating whilst in administration, some can be saved. If you take Joules for example their shops are still open and website still operating but scroll to near the bottom of the homepage you'll see they are in administration. 


    If you paid by card then you can do a chargeback
