Since the shop would be paying for the report I don't think they would be required to share it with you.

You would have to pay for your own report.
  • You need a report of your own, and then you'll be able to proceed with a section 75. Do you know what company they used to do the inspection? Just make sure you use a different company. You'll need to pay for it yourself, but if it comes back as faulty they will be required to cover the cost for you.
As it arrived in that condition I can't see what argument they could make that it isn't faulty. Also, don't say it's poor quality - it's faulty.
  • I’m having issues with Natuzzi too! What is this nonsense. Why are they behaving dodgy and giving inferior quality! Doesn’t happen in Dubai or Portugal!

  • Just thought I would follow this up with the outcome:

The shop have finally relinquished and agreed to take the sofa back, refund us and cancel the finance.

Also, as I felt I was getting nowhere with them I raised a section 75 with my credit card who also found in our favour and have refunded us.

So, a result in the end and I’d like to thank you all for the advice given.

Does that mean you are getting two refunds for the same item?

No, the CC company have already refunded. The store have said they will refund 3-5 days after collecting the sofa. When it is actually collected this afternoon I will message to say its gone and that the CC company have already refunded.
  • If they do accidentally end up giving you two refunds, they will be able to claim the extra refund back but it could take a while - so keep an eye on your card balance.
I would recommend letting the card company know that they've collected the sofa as well. Glad you manage to get a good resolution!

Why go via CC when you had finance. As S75 covered that.

We went with the credit card as that's how we paid the deposit. I actually spoke with the finance company about it and because we hadn't received full delivery of the goods they couldn't actually do anything.
