  • And another this afternoon, on a roll now!

Sjal facial oil. WNBA. Won this in a prize draw but found it a bit heavy for my skin (and it's pricey!).

  • And another this evening:

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. WNBA. Used as a lip balm but prefer others.

UU Skinsense Leave on Overnight mask-. I like this product and think I have another in my stash however I have so much serum/oil in my stash that I won't need to repurchase.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Lush Butter Bear - I think that is the right name, it was shaped like a bear.  This was DD's, she got it as a present last Christmas but she never gets a bath so it was just hanging around.  These are a waste of money imo, it is just bicarb, perfume and colour on the whole.  I have another bath bomb and a bubble bar to use.

  • Hope everyone had a good Christmas!

    Final roundups for December:

INS- all Christmas gifts though, so no money was spent on my part

    • Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask- Super Hydrating and Soothing (Hyaluronic & Chamomile): stocking pressie, like this range of masks a lot though
    • Vaseline- Rosy lips tin: stocking pressie, like these tins with the pink balm in
    • Beauty Bay- Pastels Palette: small 8 pan pastel eyeshadow palette, has been on my wish list for a while so a very nice Secret Santa pressie
    • bPerfect Scorched Blusher - Magma: Lovely orangey blush with a bit of shimmer in, very pretty, actually looks nice and natural glow on the skin
    • Rimmel Nail Polish- 60 Seconds - in Roll in The Grass: Nice tealy Tiffany Blue, love this kind of colour, will be great for Spring/Summer!

    OUTS
    • Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask- Super Hydrating and Soothing (Hyaluronic & Chamomile): I used it on Boxing Day morning pre-family gathering for a bit of chill time.
    • L'Oreal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer - 326 Vanilla: Got a few colours of these when I was trying to find the right shade for my wedding day makeup, and this one I think was the best.  A nice concealer, quite thick- good for covering up the odd blemish and not too terrible for undereye circles. WBA but have the other colours to crack on with
    • Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Dryness Super UV Protection Cream with Glycerin SPF50: Think I prefer the Anti-Age version, for me this feels a little shinier/greasier as I don't actually have dry skin.  WBA in a pinch.
    • Sample sachet- Make Prem- Safe me. Relief moisture Cream 12: My last sample of these- think I had hundreds!
    • Sample sachet- Wishful Thirst Trap Juice: Used on my legs pre-moisturiser, for a nice boost of hydration

    Month tallies
    • INS: 19 (5 gifts, 7 replacements, 7 unnecessary)
    • OUTS: 19 (18 used ups, 1 throw away)
So I broke even.  Not my finest month!

    Yearly tally
    • INS: 157 (£1128.39 - ouch, that number, seeing it written down, is kinda hideous!)
    • OUT: 293 (253 UU, 30 throw away, 9 gave away)
So that balances out to 136 products used up once I subtract the INS.  Although I would like less INS (or certainly less money spent!!!), i'm very pleased with all the used up products this year! <3

  • Another UU last night:

Aveda Rosemary Mint Body Lotion. WBA. Love the smell and it moisturises well.

  • Back in for December, carrying over a lot of the list from November but some of it is very nearly finished...

    PP List:

    Ren Evercalm Moisturiser
    Odilyque Conditioner
    Fresh Grapefruit Body Lotion
    Drunk Elephant Shower Gel
    Sjal Face Oil
    Odilyque Gentle Herb Shampoo
    The Ordinary Niacinimide and Zinc

    Winter List of 4:

    Eight Hour Cream
    Espa Lip Balm
    L'occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
    The Inkey List PHA Toner
December totals: UU 7 IN 1

    Total for 2022: UU 41 IN 37

Not my best year but at least the total has gone down, if only a little.

I need to break the back of the big categories in 2023 - perfume, hand cream and lip balms.

Just updating with my last UU's of the year:

Lush Hot Toddy Shower Gel 100g: love the scent of this and always try to pick up one each year they release it

Lush Crystal Snow Ballistic: Really liked the scent on this (like a murray mint) and it definitely softened my skin

Roloxin Lift Face Mask: a sample that I've had for a while, didn't really notice a difference on the lifting side of things but it did hydrate my skin

Lush Snow Fairy Body Lotion: a free sample I got the last time I was in store and I really really enjoyed this.  It made an actual difference to my skin and made it look and feel more supple

Garnier Ultralift Eye Sheet Mask: Used these while getting ready for Christmas day, they did the job of refreshing my eyes.

The next few were samples I used up while staying with family over Christmas - all were ok, but didn't get enough use to make a proper judgement:

    Dr Jaart Ceramidin Serum
    Dr Jaart Ceramidin Cream
    Dr Jaart Ceramidin Liquid
    Kiehl's Facial Fuel
    Clarins One Step Cleanser

Aveeno Moisturising Creamy Oil: This was my HG body moisturiser but I think they've changed the formula slightly as it kind of pilled up on my skin.

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist: Another face mist I've had open for ages and decided to use up while travelling.  Liked the scent of it but don't think it actually does anything so not worth the extortionate price tag

Revolution x Sali Hughes Clean sheet Morning Cleanser: Got this as a sample in a little kit when I ordered from Revolution a few months ago for some more eye makeup removing pads.  It was ok, but not great.  Felt a little too vaseline like on my face and left a film.

Nivea Pearl Spray on Deo: Was ok, did the job.

Nars Afterglow lip balm in Orgasm: Love these balms, and loved the finish of this one and would repurchase if I needed to (I have way too many lip products to work through...)
