No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries December 2022

Comments

  • A few INS for over the festive period, so I don't run out of anything and can avoid the shops.  I don't actually have the products yet as I did a Boots order, but knowing how crazy December gets I wanted to add this now whilst I remember!

    • The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution 240ml:  Trying this out as replacement for my body AHA exfoliator, as it's cheaper than the COSRX one (and I have something else lined up for my face).
    • Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover:  I'm on the last quarter or so of my current one, so don't want to run out.  I only bought one of these in November, and yes I wear a lot of eye makeup, but also I think that the washable/reusable cotton pads suck up a lot of product :-(
    • Dove Compressed Aerosol Anti-perspirant Deodorant Invisible Dry 75 ml: Good size for Christmas vaycay, though I have deodorant already this is better for packing, since I don't know how to pack light when it comes to makeup/toiletries, so buying a smaller product is worth it for me.
    • Colab Dry Shampoo, Original, 50ml: Travel size for Xmas for lazy days!
Running low on my L'Oreal Infallible foundation too so 100% cannot run out of that, but I'll pop out in person and pick that up- don't want to rely on the post for that one!

  • Have another UU to report:

Apothaka Barrier Support Serum - So I had a mini version of this to try as it's expensive (for me anyway) and it was lovely and thick and hydrating and just very nice.  But Byoma make a very similar serum that was a little more watery but did an ok job.  After going through a few of the Byoma ones, I decided to spring for the full size of the Apothaka and this was not the same as the mini I tried.  Texture was even thinner than the Byoma one and actually caused my moisturiser to pill sometimes.  So I'm glad that this is gone and I've gone back to the Byoma one.

Good strategy, ordering online!  I work in an area where the branch of Boots is very small and has a problem with shoplifters so whenever you venture in the place is desolate of stock.  For the above reason, they don't stock luxury products either.

I too am a convert to the Infallible foundation.

Another UU : The Inkey List C60 Blemish Treatment.  MRM gave me this last Christmas.  I wonder if he got it as GWP when he ordered my other items however it is wonderful.  Have put it on my list this year.

Seem to be on a bit of a roll now.  Have UU another The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter and have replaced with the last full size one from the stash.  It does the job but isn't a joyous cleansing experience 😆

And another UU gone while I was getting ready for a video call - Urban Decay Chopper Eyeshadow which was in a palette.  Liked the colour, not so much the glitter.  Have replaced with another UD shadow for day to day looks which has a lot of pan showing so should be able to get that done fairly easily (she says...)

UU:  Urban Decay Fuel lipgloss.  This was one of those lip plumping formulas that I don't particuarly like. WNBA.

  • Two UU so far:

Odylique Gentle Herb Shampoo. WBA. Next bottle out and ready to go.

Odylique Coloured Hair Conditioner. WNBA. Preferred the one for sensitive scalps so going back to that.

A few other things are annoyingly close to being finished so hoping it's a big month for UU!
