Barclays only doing 'soft search' for current account?

I opened my first ever current account with Barclays just 10 days ago. No overdraft.
Anyone else applied for Barclays account recently? Maybe they don't do a hard search if no overdraft is required? Or maybe it is because I already have Barclaycard? In that case it would mean they work the same way as Halifax/Lloyds who don't hard-search existing customers for new products, although Barclaycard is supposed to be a separate company so this doesn't seem like a good explanation to me. Still waiting for my Experian credit report, but I don't think they would do a hard search on one report and soft search on another.

I think they use Experian so wait for that to update. And remember the search can take a few weeks to show on the report you see.0

I have nothing on my CreditKarma and a hard search on Experian for my recent Barclays current account application. No overdraft requested. I didn't check Equifax.0

TransUnion (Credit Karma) shows nothing from Barclays. On Equifax (ClearScore) I was surprised to find only a soft search from Barclays as "Barclays Digital" and the type "Search for Other".

The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0
