  • We got one of these - best of both worlds, keeps the bathroom very toasty, however we bought it 2 years ago and the price seems to have shot through the roof!

    Wow some great tips there!!

I've inherited some 1950s looking double towel rails that are no beauties but the towels don't slide off them with the radiator under and you can rest your morning clothes on the top to be warm on a cold day. I love this.
As they say 'don't change anything until you've lived with it a while.

So I'm working around the vintage theme by the look of it.

I had them in the bathrooms in a previous renovation I did. They were lovely, I sent them off to have the panels shot blasted and powder coated in gunmetal to suit the style I was doing in the house. They had chrome rails with a flat panel radiator integral in the centre.

We have these in white, big beggars, the towels are lovely and warm, and the bathroom is too.

We put a towel rail in the kitchen rather than a radiator, so there's somewhere easy for the towel and teatowels to hang.

That's a great idea. Very classey.

I inhertied one of those chrome swinging towel holder thingies plonked in the wall at the end of the kitchen over the radiator.
I was going to remove that then found that it's great for drying wet hats and gloves, even a light coat.
Just thought I'd drop that in for the money savers.

Now I'm going to have to find a smarter way to do it  :)
