Advice -First time switching SIM cards. Confused monthly contract?
Hi
Ive seen this pop up and it’s just over half price I currently pay with Three and has 6Gb more data!
I’m confused on how it can be that price when you are only taking out a monthly contract.

How does it state it yearly in the description of costs?
how does this actually work as I need a 12 month contract to get the deal yet it’s monthly?
also is the service seamless -‘as I’m concerned and have never switched before in case I lose my signal/no phone or lose my number.

I have my PAC code and also have sent a txt to Three and they stated final bill is £8 as I’m on monthly with them.
Do I just click link and proceed?
will it ask for the PAC?
anyone used these guys. Do they have support plus an iPhone app?

Before you consider changing your phone network make sure that Vodafone have a signal that's at least as good as that you get from Three in your usual locations?
The Lebara deal will get you a SIM that will let you try out the Vodafone service before you decide if you want to move your phone number. It's a 1-month rolling contract so it will cost you only 94p if you decide not to continue with it. The mention of a yearly cost is just for comparison purposes. You do NOT need to give them a PAC code.
No point changing (even at half-price) if the phone service is poor.
The PAC code is good for 30 days and if you don't use it it will just expire. Your 3 service will continue as is.
Someone else will have to comment on their CS / iPhone app as I've not used either.

Good afternoon, as per lobster's comment, certainly check the coverage in your area before changing network. Not sure if this is worth a punt for you, but I renewed my SIM only deal today with o2, with unlimited minutes & texts, and 30GB of data for £8 a month. If you are a Virgin Media customer as well, the data is doubled to 60GB. In addition, there is also 3 months of free Disney Plus access, as well as the usual o2 benefits of free roaming in Europe and some other countries which includes 25GB of data. Hope this helps1

I have Virgin Broadband. When I put my postcode in to check coverage on the site Vodaphone rates higher than Three. Why is the virgin deal not on the site if it’s that good?
I think all main providers work fine in my are tbh.0 -
Plus ID mobile Dona cheaper deal and they use 3 Network. It uses a £45 cashback though so not sure how reliable that is or what I would use it in tbh.Probably Tesco voucher and food/fuel if anything.0

Once you receive your new Lebara SIM, you would have a new number with that. You then go to the Lebara website and follow the procedure to transfer your old number from Three to Lebara. It usually can be set to switch within 2 days. Usually on the day, all you would have to do is turn your phone (with your new Lebara SIM) on and off and that's it, your new SIM has your old number.
Regarding the price, it is a rolling 30 day contract. The price on that comparison tool is just giving you an average price over 12 months for comparison purposes to compare each "deal" from everyone.
So if you took the total Lebara price over 12 months, it would be:
(£0.94 x 6 + £7.90 x 6) = £53.04
The effective price per month is £53.04 divided by 12, which comes to the £4.42 a month. Although you pay 94p in the first 6 months and £7.90 in months 7 to 12.
The Lebara deal that you have screenshot is a 30 day rolling contract. So you aren't tied to them for 12 months and can leave at any time. Fixed price as well (no CPI price increase nonsense). It is all prepaid and you pay in advance. If you wanted to, you can leave in month 2, or month 6 with no penalty by turning the "Auto Renew" tab on your online account from "On" to "Off" (though that will end any discounted deal you are on).
From what I remember, the ID Mobile offer you mentioned on the thread with cash back is only for a 12 month contract and not for 30 day rolling.
From what I've seen the best "deals" showing up on the tool tend to be from Smarty (Three), Lebara (Vodafone), and Lyca (O2).0
