Got a parking charge in post for parking for 6 minutes in a Permit Bay, intended to park up realised had wrong permit, left.
POPLA ruled in their favour coz they lied in their comments about how it’s a big car park with well displayed signs at entrance to the car park etc (It’s three parking bays in a back alley with a sign that says permit only and one T&C sign.
Escalated to DCBL £70 extra charge added. I phoned up and asked for a court hearing because I want this over and done with. Got told I can’t have a court hearing, I just have to pay.

I said that I don’t want them contacting me and want this matter to be resolved can I have a court hearing, got told no and if I want them off my back I have to pay them to leave me alone.
Back and forth for a few minutes and then just got told to F’ Off and hung up on.
Can’t speak to the manager or request a copy of call recording as need to email in for that.
Been two weeks, sent three emails all ignored.
I really just want this off my back, I don’t want to be getting involved in the ignoring them game or lengthy letter writing going back and forth.
What can I do now?

Why dont you want to be involved in the "Ignoring game" please give some detailed reasons....
You really wasted your time there. You cant just ask for a court hearing2 -

Does not surprise us, arrogance and ignoramce abounds in this mickey mouse industry

Court judges love ignorance with one hand on their whipping stick
Is this a letter before claim from DCB LEGAL of just a stupid debt collector letter from DCB LTD ???
if it is the latter, no point in contacting them again
A letter before claim should not be ignored, if you get this, come back here
This is their latest little hobby .... 71 and countingDCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS

Hmmm...can you ring back up and record them please? I could do with a bullying/rude recording of DCB Ltd or Legal to send it straight to the DLUHC who are working on the new Code of Practice Impact Assessment.
I am serious. I need recordings. Just make sure you remove any recording of your name/address/ID.
Apart from that, ignore them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You won't get a recording as they don't record their calls. If they did then they would have to disclose them under Data Protection laws and therefore their staff wouldn't be able to be rude or bullying on the phone to consumers! This is how they make their money by gaslighting, bullying and threatening people - being bolshy and rude to crank up the pressure.
I experienced this when I spoke to them on the phone, but stood my ground. There is a review of one of these companies on TripAdvisor by person stating that a relative of theirs tried taking his own life after getting off the phone to them so its not just coincidence. They are unregulated and staffed up by thugs and morons (based on the numerous people I've spoken to working for them, documented criminal convictions/ arrests of their staff, court reports regarding their employees behaviour and what language/ behaviours of their employees I've seen in the media).
They never swore at me or misused a telecommunications system for malicious communications in my case - had they done this I would have reported the matter to the Police and pursued them.
They denied any recordings when I did a SAR to them. Even if it you did have a recording they'd do nothing except advise their call-taker to maybe not swear in future.
I would personally advise - launching a complaint with the company by Email (they won't do jack-sh*t), but log it for your records and also worth evidencing this in a Witness Statement should your case go to court - as it will show that you've attempted engaging, requested the court date to resolve the matter and got nowhere because they want to play these stupid games and long the matter out when you've told them your stand on the situation (i.e not guilty and want it professionally and independently resolved).2 -
HAHA, I liked this ... but it's true
They are unregulated and staffed up by thugs and morons

I am (again) kindly asking people to record their DRA call...themselves.
If no app on your phone that enables this, record the conversation (on loudspeaker), on another phone...please can I have some evidence of bullying. Not hearsay. Need it for the DLUHC.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I think the idea here is for the end user, not DCBL to do the recording.I woulod be tempted, if i had such a recording to go to the place in question - ie a supermarket and play back the recording to customer services at full blast on the loudest bluetooth speaker i could get my hands onFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I remember you advising me not to call them, but I was bored and felt like seeing what they were about after reading the various TrustPilot reviews on their communication style. I rang them up holding them to account - I didn't go full Chrissy Morris on them, but they didn't like speaking to someone who knew their rights, the law and called them out on their lack of knowledge. It was fun baiting them and was during Covid so I had a lot of downtime at work.
I think I called them about 2 or 3 times. There was no record of any phone calls at all when I got my SAR result report back which suggests they don't record at all for obvious reasons such as the authorities or media getting hold of them I'd suggest.3 -
Tbf this user started two posts and didnt then post any follow up2

I'm not sure I fully understand @KIDDSKY_2 raising the question "what next?" You told them you want them to sue you, so now you have to wait for them to choose whether to do that.
If you didn't want to do that, then you shouldn't issue that ultimatum.
