What am I missing, I was looking on Expedia, just for sample prices on hotel and flight, comparing to seperate.
The 2 cheapest are Economy Light and Econony Campigan Classic
So the Light you pay £60 to check in your case - only case. Campigan Classic you pay £0.
But the price difference overall is £2256.74 (includes the £60) - £3467.04 = £1210.30
£1210.30 more to check your bag for free?
Is there anything else why so different.
Airline is Finnair.

On first glance it looks like the change fee for the second option is £100 less and it includes the first checked luggage at £60... so potentially £160 less. Rather than go through a third party agent, why not look at booking direct with Finnair - could save you a fortune if it all goes ti*s up!#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

There's also a slightly lower change fee! It's fairly typical with airline fares to charge a large amount extra to get things "free" which would cost far less if bought separately. Some people fall for the marketing ploy getting stuff "free" on a much more expensive ticket!0

Alreaady found Expedia to be
as the price above is only going - they charge about the same coming back instead of 1 return cost which costs less than their 1 way for the same flight. Read up you may save booking both - not in this case

with codeshares they may have limited seats in selected fare buckets
airline pricing can be complex depending on the fare buckets left.0
