Changing back to maiden name advice please

I’d start with driving license as passport seems the most hard work! I found work and hmrc easiest (I remember hmrc just asked what I wanted to be called!). HSBC were awkward and still have me as mrs maiden name. Student loan company still have me as mrs double-barrelled, even though I’ve remarried now. After all the fuss the first time, I’ve kept my maiden name for the second marriage!Good luck xMFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Thank you Smudge and powerspowers. Good to know that HMRC is easy. Work will be easy too. I spotted my maiden name on one of our online systems yesterday! Obviously one if my colleagues figured they would give me a bit of oomph to get going!0

I pointed out that preferring a neutral marital status title was something I was allowed to have, and they changed it... still married and my husband doesn't care one way or the other.1 -
Thanks Stateofart and Emmia. Bank asked for my marriage certificate which I can't find. It's in the house somewhere. I really just need to take a few hours, stop procrastinating and sort out my paperwork.0

I did driving licence first, and bank was last because they wanted me to go in person but they kept closing branches near me so in the end it waited until I was on holiday! I didn't have a current passport (still don't) so wanted the driving licence as new proof of ID.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

All through our marriage I have been Dr H rather than Mrs T and there were many queries 2-3 decades ago but they just got a good glare and they got on with it - absolutely no problem these days. Most straightforward was the registrar registering the kids who used the instance to explain to someone she was training.
