Changing back to maiden name advice please

I want to change back to my maiden name. I have used a template from gov.uk and got it witnessed by two independent witnesses.
I now want to start to change passport, driving licence, utilities, work details etc.
Has anyone done this and know what is a good order to do it in? Have to go into the bank in order to do that one. Passport asks for work payslip and deed poll etc.
This feels like a very big job to do. I'm sure that once I get started it won't be too bad, but I genuinely don't know which order would be best.
Once I go down this road I need to get it all done. Some companies by default ask for a decree absolut, but I am not in a position to do this right now and also can't do an enrolled deed poll as I am unable to inform my ex.
If someone has experience of doing this, can you guide me please?

not sure that they can ask for decree absolute as you are allowed to change your name to whatever you want when you want.
I am not the one to ask as stuck with my maiden name when I married 30+ years ago though will answer to married name if needed .
I remember a friend doing it though and it was fairly straightforward, she started with some of the small ones I think2 -
You can change back to your given name without deed poll by showing your birth certificate.2

I know that I can do it. I just wanted to know if there is a simple order to do it. As an example, passport asks for payslip, work will need to link with bank details.
Sounds like a good plan to do some of the small ones first. Thanks Flugelhorn and Marcia.1 -
I did mine back to maiden name with no deed, but I did have my birth certificate. I did main ones first, bank, passport and driving licence then bills etc.
When I remarried, I only changed a few wanted to keep my maiden name, and to do this I just informed them I wished to be known as 'xyz'. I didn't have to send anything as I didn't change much and never sent marriage cert. I now have half of stuff in maiden and half in new (well 15years...😂) married name.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....2 -
work will pay into an account by number / sort code - I don't think they will be concerned that the name is different. friends have been paid at work in their work / maiden name and the money goes into joint account in married name.
start with work - good to start using the new (old) name there

I have always used my maiden name. When it came to renewing passport after marriage all the passport office wanted was an assurance that I used my maiden name for everything. Once you have cracked the passport office everything else is easy as the new passport can be used for ID.1

That said, some places (I think including the passport agency) wil accept a decree absolute and birth certificate when someone is reverting to their maiden name on divorce, even if in other situations they require sight of a change of name deed.
OP I would suggest doing your passport or drviers licence first, as that givs you government issued photo ID in the new (Old!) name which may be helpful in making the change elsewhere.
All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)3 -
