Amazon Warehouse rant (semi solved)

I recenlty bought a Tablet from Amazon Warehouse, when it arrived it was missing parts and I also noticed it was cheaper to Buy new from amazon that the price i had paid 2nd hand. When I reached out to a support rep - i explained my case and his reposonse was simple, send the item back - No reduction in what I had paid, no offered to get the missing parts back to me.
I was under the false illusion that if the returned item had not been processed in 14 days - my money would be refunded - my god I was so wrong.
"A used or open box item purchased from Amazon Warehouse can be returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment. Renewed products come with the Amazon Renewed Guarantee giving you a replacement or refund within 90 days of purchase if the item does not work as expected."
Thats right folks, they have 90 days (I was quoted 60) to send your money back. Not happy with this I filed a dispute with my bank and the money was refunded before them 60 days. Still waiting for the gift balance to be added - have to wait unil 1st Jan 2023.
Once all this is sorted - I will spend my gift balance then close down my amazon account - the company is almost as bad as Curry's now.
If you have initiated a Chargeback with Amazon then they will close your account and blacklist you and your address.0 -

They do have up to ninety days to refund your money, however it almost always happens within seven. Over the years I have had one return to Amazon take 14 days, the rest have happened within a day or two and on some occasions have happened as soon as the item is scanned as by the courier picking up or showing in the Royal Mail system.
If you have initiated a Chargeback with Amazon then they will close your account and blacklist you and your address. In my many years of ealing with amazon, almost every single items was either refunded over a chat box, refunded the same day I sent it via royal mail or 14 days max. It was this ONE Item that got me annoyed that I had to wait possibly till Jan 2023. That meant my money was tied up as the returns on this one item had to be checked in a different way.
The confusion here is the law of 14 days, I had sent the item back via royal mail, it was tracked and had arrived at the depot and I felt I gave them long enough to process the item and refund my money. As I felt they had brokien some law, i googled what to do, started a chargeback.
I really dont care about them closing my account, blacklisting anything they want, I will not be going back. I still have money on that acocunt (ir will hgave when they process this refund) my question previoulsy was are they allowed to just wipe this out, its real money that they owe me in one form or another.

The easy way is to let the chargeback go through (I keep my £110.76) and issue the £21.67 back to my gift balance, I buy something then CLOSE DOWN AMAZON never to use ever again.
Thats pretty much summed up whats happening so far.0 -
Update for all your lovely people
The Bank says I won the appeal and I got to keep the money they had already refunded.
I contacted amazon rep and he refunded not only the gift card amount but also the full amount even though I kept telling him this is sorted. I spent the gift card amount straight away in case of closing of account as people kept saying on here.
My account never got closed, no more emails came forth and in theory I could have carried on so a lot of people were wrong that a chargeback would result in my account be closed and my address black listed.
Today I have closed my account (as I said I would) and I do not wish to deal with amazon ever again - no matter how good the deals may seem.
Thanks all for listening to my rants.
