Parking Ticket in a layby
Comments

It looks like it was a layby (you can see the remnants of the white dashes), but it's been re-designated with double-yellows; possibly because it's so near the corner/junction, which maybe made it not a safe place to be pulling over to park or to pull out from. From the HC (https://www.highwaycodeuk.co.uk/road-markings.html ):Waiting restrictions indicated by yellow lines apply to the carriageway, pavement and verge.

That area had a massive clamp down on parking on roadsides due to the constant blocking of the roads & destruction of the verges. Was in the press over summer.

Life in the slow lane1 -
I got a ticket like this a few years back, won the argument when I uploaded a copy of the blue badge.
Not sure if I was right or wrong as badge over Road the ticket.
Was in the hills above Buxton.
Was a drive by ticket.0
