Can I just say, this is a brilliant idea for a discussion, it's really helping to keep me motivated and to record all the little bits and bobs. I'm not sure if I'll get to £2023, but it's a great motivator! I've got a little book that I mark everything down on, so I know what to write at the end of the month, to report back here.
I've had flurries of putting items on market place etc, but it's never lasted longer than a few weeks, but doing this thread has really helped me to persist more than a few weeks 👍😁
It's great to see it all adding up, so thankyou!
  • Still no number.

ebay sales left me with a £55.85 profit after postage and fees.
A friend used my Gousto code so I got a £20 credit.
My natwest rewards and various interest amounts were £10, £1.43, £5.52 and £0.18.
I redeemed a costa beans freebie for a £4 coffee.

This brings my running total to £939.20/2023.

I don’t count the first £600 a month earned from side hustling so that hasn’t contributed to the total yet this year but should do in the next couple of months.
The side-hustling is having an impact on the surveying but I am building airtime rewards to use for data roaming when we go on holiday and Neilsen panel is building for holiday clothes vouches so should a fairly ok payout!

Total Debt May 21 £20,490.44  DEBT FREE DATE 29/7/22

    Mortgage balance May 21 £177,096.19. Now £146,747.17
Mortgage free date. At start of sole mortgage = July 2042

2024 SAVINGS FOCUS - get rid of the car finance. Savings balance/outstanding balance = £11,857.56/£12,706.25
2025 Savings Focus - 33.3/33.3/33.3 split; savings for house renovations (bathrooms/garden/kitchen; whichever collapses first), save for a family holiday (probably our last one!) and paydown/offset the mortgage

#46. It's been around 2 1/2 months since I last did an update so here it is.

I got 220 nectar points from the daily mail codes
£400 switching incentives (Ulster and Natwest)
    £45 Halifax rewards
£30 from sale of clapped out old bike.
    £12 from Natwest rewards
    £9 from RBS rewards

    £10 cashback from Nationwide
    £135.10 interest on savings
£21.80 found on the floor (including a £20 note)
£20 Amazon gift card for doing a psychology experiment

I got 6 coupons out of the newspapers that were being returned at the newsagents I work for, each entitling me to a 6 pack of cheese and onion ringos (36 packets of crisps in total). Lloyds have given me 3 garden answers magazines and a bird watching magazine. I have also found 1 ringbinder folder, 14 polly pockets, 3 pens and a Tesco delivery crate and a marble as well.

This takes me to £1186.16 in cash, £20 in Amazon gift cards, 240 nectar points, 7 leaver arch folders, 3 saucers, a bone china bowl, a wooden picture frame, 1 paperclip, 4 copies of the garden answers magazine, a railcard, 3 plates, 2 bowls, a Polish Zyloty, a bicycle back wheel, a bicycle speedometer, 76 screws, 32 nails, a keyring, something that appears to be a manual screwdriver type thing, 23 cards (a mixture of birthday, Christmas, driving test, and christening cards), a mercury thermometer, a set of poker dice, a set of bike lights, a reflective bag cover, 5 pens a 1 day bus ticket, 36 packets of crisps, 1 ringbinder folder and a Tesco delivery crate, a marble and a bird watching magazine in total.

I'm not doing very well with survey sites recently. I'm getting really annoyed with sitting for 20-40 mins for the site to then crash or say 'sorry this provider.. blah blah...' I'm spending such a long time on some sites and getting nowhere, hoping for better very soon!!
