I'd be changing banks if their systems couldn't cope with something as fundmental as this.
  • That's funny. I just tried my old login with different password and it's still working. Both logins take me to the same online banking, but they show different dates and times of last login, based on which one I used last time. That makes me think if I get locked out of my online banking again, I may try the other login and maybe it will work. :)

Btw, my two accounts were merged after I called them. The CS representative said it can take up to 9 days.

Same here. I intended to keep the account, but after I got locked out 4x within a month, just for making normal payments to my own accounts, I got totally fed up with this clown bank.

  • I already have a longstanding TSB user-id with two accounts (Credit Card and Current Account). A couple of weeks ago I opened another current account and had to create a new log-in which is supposed to be temporary. I did ring them up early last week telling them I wanted it all together on one user id/log-in and they said it would take up to 9 days - it has now happened and they are all together, problem is that as of tonight the new 'temporary' id still works and also has all three of these accounts which I dont think is very professional. I will have to ring them again this week because my new debit card does not show in my older/main id but in the temporary id which I want to close.

When it's one of many it's not a big deal. It's also good, real-life experience to relate to people when they tell you that, 'all banks are the same.'

I had a supposed merged tsb profile, but it tells me things like I don't qualify for certain accounts as I don't have a spend and save account. Despite me having a spend and save account that is visible on my profile.

It seems I'm now having more issues with TSB. Opened a current account recently and had to set up a second login, as is they way with TSB. The first login never picked up the new account, and the activation code I received for the second one didn't work. They eventually created a third one for me and I was able to log in with that for a couple of weeks. Now it only works with online banking and I get an "unexpected error" when logging in on the app (tried also with my original userID which worked for years and same problem). Think I'll just live with it as I've seen enough to prevent me from using TSB for any actual banking.

Being logged in doesn't matter. In my experience, applying online will always trigger the generation of a new online banking profile,
My experience with other banks is is different - Barclays, Nationwide, Halifax, Santander - to name a few.

Me too, TSB seem to like to do things differently.

My accounts were merged after about 2 weeks, albeit not completely...
I had to contact TSB about an odd Debit Card issue, which seems to be related to the part-merge, whereby all my part-merged accounts show the same card (will post further after a follow up call next week)...
Anyway, while trying to authenticate over the telephone my memorable info was not recognized.

Turns out this is as I have multiple profiles, with my original account present on all of them.

Currently I have 3 logins (2 new from 2x switch accounts, but that's a different story).

Original login, all accounts show, but same DC (from original account) for all 3 accounts.

Login 2, new account 2, and all original, inc. savers, both current show DC from new 2. New 3 not listed.

Login 3, new account 3, and all original, inc. savers, both current show DC from new 3. New 2 not listed.

So if your merge works, you should be fine 😁
I spoke to TSB earlier, and a request to update/complete the merge (again) has been requested.
Will see what happens in 10 days or so, and if:

All accounts are visible in a single login
    Correct card details are displayed.

    Welcome to the club mate.
I actually intended to use the new TSB account for normal banking, but after just a month of experience with them... no way!

Are any people still having issues like this?

I opened a Spend & Save about two months ago. Like other folk (by the sound of it), I was logged in at the start of the application, but was automatically logged out and ended up with a new online profile

I assumed that the 2 profiles would soon be merged, but not so far

I phoned about 3 weeks ago on another issue, and mentioned still having the two profiles, and I thought the person said this request would be sent off somewhere

What might become awkward for me if they don't do this for a while is I closed the old current account, and so at the moment there is no way to remove funds from the monthly saver account on that profile
