Do we get £400 or £600 for the energy support scheme?Depends on which support schemes you are referring to. The £400 is the obvious one but is the extra £200 you are referring to for being on Oil or LPG?

Are you confusing the £400 Energy Bills Support Scheme with the £650 DWP Cost of Living Payment?0

£400 is the Energy Bill Support Scheme.

Probably nothing.alandaniel132 said:

There are larger Cost of Living payments for people who qualify, and the government says they will keep the energy prices down to a certain level for everyone until March 2024 (higher than they are at the moment, but still lower than they probably would be otherwise). So it is very very unlikely there will be a repeat of the £400 or anything like it next winter.
Of course, a lot can change in a year so we won't know for certain until we get there.0 -

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -

Could even be as late as January 2025, although that's unlikely.macman said:The next election will be in 2024 (latest), not 2023.

If the Tories know they are going to lose (and they probably are) then they will hold the election at the last possible moment so I would say January 2025 is more than likely.QrizB said:

Last election was 12/12/19, 5 year max takes us to Dec 2024?
Very unlikely to run that late into the winter, much more likely to go for May or October '24.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Very unlikely to run that late into the winter, much more likely to go for May or October '24.The maximum term of a Parliament is five years from the day on which it first met. The current Parliament first met on Tuesday 17 December 2019 and will automatically dissolve on Tuesday 17 December 2024, unless it has been dissolved sooner by the King.
Polling Day would be expected to take place 25 days later.
