BT TV - Will Multiroom work if I purchase a BT Box Mini externally?

I have BT TV and pay for their Entertainment Package having moved from Sky, I'm happy with the service but wanted to try the service using the non-aerial mode to ensure I could get enough channels. I cancelled multiroom with Sky as part of the deal I had with them and my second TV doesn't have any smart apps on. Now I'm comfortable with what I'm getting I was considering a fire stick or chromecast for the spare TV but I wanted to check... if I buy a BT TV Mini box (won't record obviously) away from BT, will the multiroom service still work without paying BT £10 per month?

It would work for non subscription channels & apps but for watching the channels that are part of the entertainment package live & from the guide you'd need the sub from BT
