Virgin has just gone live here & will be at least 5x faster than our current max 35mb connection so thought of it as a no brainer & signed up with the doorstep canvassers which normally follow the pole climbers, the deal is M250 + weekend chatter + 10gb O2 sim for £29.99 which is a fair price i thought & much cheaper than my out of contract BT + sim
Anyhow i failed to realise that VM don't have a good reputation for VPN users, there seems to be workarounds with router settings or run the supplied router in modem mode with separate router , am i being overly concerned ?
Only signed up 2 days ago so well within the 14 days to cancel , just need to do a little more investigating to make sure it's going to work for me with my Nord VPN.

Just to add , i only use the VPN on one laptop & not installed on router for all connected devices.

I use VPN Unlimited with Virgin on the Virgin router and it seems to work fine.

Thanks, i have heard the issues can be random depending on router model /  VPN  supplier with some having no issues at all,  i really hope it's not a hope for the best type situation.
  • I've used Nord VPN in the past with Vrigin ok so assume it would still be the same now.

I use other VPN's now and never had an issue but I use the Hub 3 in modem mode so totally bypass anything in their router than might affect a VPN.

Thanks @[Deleted User] good to here, been with BT for ages so a bit of nerves moving but feeling a bit more comfortable with the move to VM so will go ahead. Like you i'm thinking modem mode will make for a more stable platform.
