Thankfully the new charging cable arrived first thing after I'd got up and dressed.
I went to see a pretty waterfall today and ate out at a pub and had a coffee out too. Will try and post a piccie tomorrow.
Yesterday I bought a fold up table and folding chair as there's only a breakfast bar here and a stool that I didn't feel balanced on at all. It kind of just spun round when I tried to sit on it and I couldn't work out how to stop it. Used new table with my laptop today and when eating. After my walk, I came back and got the computer to read my book 2 so far to me. It worked at getting me in the zone and let me spot minor errors and fix them. I then deleted some words in the next section and wrote another 2,677 words. Really happy. I've set a target to write at least 10,000 words this week and feel on track now. I seem to have got past the point where I was stuck and have more direction and inspiration again. Hopefully I can just carry on now. I feel that because I edit as I go - and understand more after book 1 what the final version needs to sound like - that my writing is a much better quality earlier. I think this book has more of 'me' in it which is amusing given it's a YA Fantasy. My target is around 70,000 words and I'm at 47,000 so feel I'm getting much closer to finishing.

Thanks for sharing your artistic approach on here @savingholmes - I find it really interesting! Both how to fit creative time into a busy life and the practical tips like the computer reading it back to you. I hope you have a restorative time away and soak up those lovely views!3
