Macaroni milk sounds like rice pudding but with pasta instead of rice... Pasta pudding? 🤔
I had wondered about it too, but figured it was some well known SW recipe that everyone else knew well!2 -

Love that expression 'habit cleanse' @savingholmes! A darn good idea...it's scary how habits can creep up I find. But we're all aware on the boards here znx czm nip it in the bud. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx2

Well I've had a nice day. Up late today too. I have put up 4 extra sets of lights today - including 3 outdoor ones I got a few years ago for xmas and had never unboxed. It makes everywhere look more cheerful. I'll post a photo of a small section from my phone.
I also did some writing on a different story - that I started a while ago. Probably added a thousand words and feel like I've got past a place I was stuck. Hoping I will carry on. I woke up thinking about this particular story in the week - so good that I managed to do a bit more.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

This bush is next to my office so I will be able to see it when I am working. I have also put some of this near my shed and some coloured lights stretching between trees in my back garden as well as some at the front.

Thanks Beanie.
It's -5 here today. I came downstairs this morning and put my heating on - but at that point my lounge was 8 degrees. I've arranged for smart meter installs for both gas and elec over the next month so I can track usage easier although I doubt I have much left I could make savings on. I may buy some insulation in the new year instead of putting £ into savings - and then get my handyman to roll it out in the loft for me. How have others got on with the silver things behind radiators - do you find it makes much difference? Where's the cheapest place to get it?
My draughtproofing tape keeps curling away from the window - frustrating. After the first night - half had fallen off! Slightly better today but not perfect. It being so cold out probably hasn't helped.
I need to book the gas engineer to do the annual check. Just texted him.
I am WFH today but then have to go in to the office tomorrow. Need to wrap a friend's gift to take with me. DD comes home around lunchtime today. It's been peaceful without her. I wrote over 1000 words on my story yesterday so that made me happy. I need to structure more social into my life - I've stopped going the gym - and I'm struggling to restart (but not yet cancelled). I've arranged to see a friend tomorrow night which should be good. We're going to a really nice country pub for a drink. Think one where the tables are quite spaced out and the ceilings high. I then have my counsellor Wednesday. Just 7 working days until I finish for Xmas.
I also want to book my final dental bridge for January. That will be another £350 but well worth it.
Hope you are all doing well where you are.

Pictures are beautiful @savingholmes - there's something about frost tipped plants that just gets me. We used to serve macaroni milk as a pudding to patients in hospital (about 10 years ago when we still served them batch cooked meals and not the microwave things they do now) and I've never been able to get my head around it 😂 We had some more insulation added to our loft and can notice the difference with the upstairs now being considerably warmer than downstairs! Hope you have a nice evening at the pub with your friend.
