Top 2-year Fixed Cash ISA rates

Kent Reliance rate is 4.4% but I have found a rate online of 4.75% from The Cumberland.  Is there a reason this one is not included in the MSE top picks?

It's because it is restricted by location
    In their own wording
This account is available to open at any Cumberland branch, for customers who live in our operating area
Been into a branch today and in practice it's impossible to open one of these accounts at all. You can only open one with a face to face or telephone appointment.
And they don't have any appointments available until around 20th December and that's a telephone appointment. And then even though the branch was virtually empty they don't have any face to face appointments available at all at any time. And if the account is gone at that time of the appointment you don't get these rates even if you specify which account you are interested in.

    I came, I saw, I melted
  • Thanks for the full explanation. And apologies that in my newbie innocence I failed to notice the existing thread and posted this question in completely the wrong place! Won't do it again, I promise.
  • Looks like the Kent Reliance fixed ISAs have been pulled

Drat, I was going to go with their 2 year fix.  Hopefully they will put something else up, seems all the fixed rate ISAs have disappeared completely!

Yes, Nationwide have some competitive offers for non ISA fixed rate accounts, but no fixed term ISA's on offer at all.
I wonder whether some providers are reacting to all the switching fixed rate ISA's that seems to be going on. So either too many requests to deal with/ preferring to offer non ISA fixed rates then they know the money will stay with them for the full fixed term.
  • I noticed this morning that Kent have added a 1 year fix now at 3.6%

I would say then know something we do know, which is that the benchmark rate for 2-year borrowing, the UK gilt, is down from 4.6% at the end of September to 3.25% at the end of last week.
