Tell him to go to Evans, they cater for fat everything and have really nice stuff. Not your fault his old lady isn't Kate Moss though...
  • Sorry to hear of your troubles. Googling that user ID brings up a 20 year old into biking on youtube:

and scans of a creditcard application on photobucket:

No way of knowing if its the same person though.
Anyone else find anything? People found loads on the eBay scammer Hightee Butzlaff a week or two back!

how many good shoe shops are there though? Dont raise peoples hopes-shoe shops are notorius for refusing to give money back at any cost-consumer direct have a section on shoes alone.
If I buy shoes for someone else in a shop and they have no signs up stating their returns policy, I always ask. Most will accept returns with a receipt within a specified period (e.g. 14 days) if the item is returned in perfect condition.
Buying from a private seller on eBay is completely different. The upside is it's usually much cheaper than buying from a shop, but the downside is you can't try before you buy nor expect a refund (unless specifically offered) if it doesn't fit. Personally, I just wouldn't buy expensive footwear privately on ebay, especially not boots, since I know many designer brands are designed for skinny ankles!
I would politely tell the buyer that, as a private seller, you don't offer refunds, and if customers are in any doubt about fit they should ask for detailed measurements before bidding. You could also offer to let them use your photos and description to resell the boots if they wish. I would also keep all their e-mails and warn them that abusive messages will be reported.
