Sorry you are having trouble with a buyer... I'm in a similar position to you at the moment also!!
You don't have to give a refund at all. Forget about him and enjoy your christmas x

Just remember, some people get through life by intimidation, they only win if you let them have that power-so dont. You are right,he is wrong.Thats all you need to keep in mind.A shoe shop wouldnt give a refund because it doesnt fit-and neither should you.Its probably just an excuse anyway ,he is just an awkward customer.REport him,let him sell them on Ebay.Dont be intimidated.0

I'd also remind him that sending abusive emails is also against the law in this country & that as you have his name & full postal address if he continues to harass you you'll have no hesitation in involving the police.Winnings

I don't think we should call his wife, have you seen what else he has got off ebay?

Just explain to him that is the risk you take buying boots without trying them on, I have big ankles (not fat wahhhh, big boned) and i know that buying boots off ebay is a gamble. Unless they were ridiculously small or large (as in shoe size) you just have to accept it. And someone with big ankles (not fat wahhh) should know designer boots - not a chance in hell of them fitting.0

May be you could ask him to chase his wife around with his latest purchase.
This will cause her to lose weight of her ankles, and then the boots might fit. :rotfl:0 -
Most shoe shops will give a good will refund if the shoes are returned unworn and in perfect condition but buying on ebay is totally different....A shoe shop wouldnt give a refund because it doesnt fit-and neither should you...
Discocat, I agree with the other advice above. I might possibly have considered a good will refund if the buyer had been pleasant but not after all the abuse and nasty emails.
Forward his emails to ebay, block him from bidding and then forget about him.
Don’t respond to him any more. He will eventually stop when he realises he is getting nowhere.0 -

how many good shoe shops are there though? Dont raise peoples hopes-shoe shops are notorius for refusing to give money back at any cost-consumer direct have a section on shoes alone.0 -
I've got some steel toe cap work boots if she's interested.... maybe they'll fit her!
But seriously, I wouldn't refund and I'd inform e-bay.0
