Does OFCOM have a OFGEM 49 day rule too?

My B.T. BBand and TV contract expires in January 2023, about 50 days away - the end of a long and prosperous (for BT) 24 month contract. There are loads of deals around atm.
Can I cancel and move supplier WITHOUT penalty during the last 49 days, similar to the right we have with OFGEM?

However exit fees are pro-rata so by that point it's just pretty much one month, but if you leave with months to go its easily three figures.1 -

You can switch your communication provider in the last month of your contract , and provided you do it following the appropriate process , not be penalised with ETC , if you are within a minimum term until sometime in Jan2023 , then obviously if you leave before then ETC is applicable but as said the last month or so will be a relatively small amount , switching ( if moving to another Openreach based provider ) takes 10-14 days , so approximately 2 weeks before the minimum term expires contact the new provider to start the migration, if you won’t be using any Openreach based provider , then 30 days before the minimum term expires , contact BT to cancel, the last month of the minimum term can also be the month notice …you need to follow the correct process , only contact BT if you are leaving the Openreach network, you leave everything to the new provider if you will be remaining on Openreach.
Comparing energy and telecom switching is pointless, these industries are nothing like each other0
