Which sim for Spain and France without restrictions?
Options
I'm thinking of changing from contract to sim only, plus choosing one that works in France and Spain , if I go for a few months. I use the internet a lot when I'm there, and I understand some deals are better than others, for this type of usage.IM with sky for my other household stuff.
Im also fairly new to mse, so don't know my way around it too well yet.
Once I'm there I don't make international calls, or many calls at all.
I really don't understand sim only as I've always been contract. Tia

If you are going to another country for a few months you will need a SIM from that country. UK networks won't allow roaming for that amount of time or will charge a lot for it if they do allow it.

'SIM-only' is also a contract but without an included handset - unless what you mean is PAYG.O2 is the only main network that includes EU roaming that conforms with the 'Roam like at Home' regulations that previous to Brexit was a requirement also for UK networks. Many MVNOs that 'piggyback' on the main networks also retain that inclusive roaming in Europe. Lebara might be a good choice. From my experience (including O2) the 'fair usage' policies that limit the inclusive roaming periods in Europe are not strictly enforced.Evolution, not revolution1

I then want to get a payg sim for home but maybe the same or different one for abroad? Is that what I should do?
I don't find 02s CS to be good , so I wouldn't want to go into a monthly contract with them0 -
You could get a sim from a virtual network that uses O2 network e.g. giffgaff, tesco etc.
(personally I have found O2 cs to be better than 3 or Vodafone).1 -
Sim only deals for 30 days with Lebara and LycaMobile. Get both and switch between them half way through. 6 weeks on each shouldn't be an issue.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1
