So LO is close to crawling so I though a play pen may be a good idea but that proce tag! I'm going to look at second hand but wondered if anyone knew of something else that works the same without the baby label that triples the price?

How about an inflatable paddling pool? Blanket in the bottom. Someone I know did this with a large rectangular one and it was brilliant, easy to clean and transport to the relatives and useful in the garden later on….oh and cheaperTime, Tide and Diarrhoea wait for no man.1

We used a hack stay and play for small time play at a very young age, it's a travel cot/play pen
However unless you have a lot of space I doubt the aglen will get much use as baby will be wanting to be out near you or whatever else is going on.
Of course a big play pen offers enough space for you to be in it as well.0
