Thank you @elsiepac for the new thread
This month is a bit different for us as we’re quite strict most of the year and really just have a more relaxed approach in December as we take full advantage of the whole month not just a few days so I was going to skip this month but decided to have a high budget and keep in the routine of tracking and posting, ready for January. We’ve got most treat foods already so this is just to have more variety and interesting meals and buffet food over Xmas, have already got a couple of things for Xmas dinner aswell but the rest will be taken from this months money. Anyway,£350 2nd-30th December please.

Budgets updated to here
Guys, I'm so sorry I've been awol for a few weeks - it's been a crazy time for several reasons, but I'm here now and ready to go with December!
Glad to hear you are OK. That's all that matters, really.

Hello, can I be in this Month to the cost of £140 for the two of us? I’ve been finding it really hard to keep to a budget with prices going up, so hoping this will keep me on track.
I’ve not put anything in there for Christmas treats as we cannot afford it, though thankfully we’ll be going to my parents for Christmas Day, so hoping to nab some lovely extras for Boxing Day.Frugal Living Challenge 2023

I haven't been on here since my holiday in October but I have been keeping a record of spends. November was a use up month because OH didn't eat everything I had put in the freezer for him while I was away. This month believe it or not we are still eating out of the freezer but I will be defrosting and filling before the month is out. I am hoping to keep to £200 but I suspect freezer filling will use up much of that so we will see. I will keep a record again this month and will rejoin properly in January. All that clutter used to be money5

January is my longest month and will include xmas dinner and treats, so will be much bigger.5 -
Hi Elsiepac,
could you put me down for £200 as usual please?
that doesn't include things for the day (I'm getting the cake) or work Christmas drinks/lunch, but will include any mince pies/gluhwein or other treats bought in the run up.
thank you,

Thanks for the thread elsiepac, glad you are ok.
Please put me down for £120 this month, which rounds my annual grocery budget up to £1050, and covers the extra expense over Christmas (I hope).Grocery challenge 2024: Annual budget £280.41/12006 -
