there are different heights of brush pile seal (typically every couple of mm from ~5 - ~12mm) but they are compressible.
It might be easier to just go with something like horsewithnoname linked earlier although they will be visible whereas replacing the existing seals shouldn't be.0 -
This worked on my patio doors which had a draft at the top.

Give the little internal surface a bit of a clean so they apply then maybe try taping it so the non-stick bit sits on top of the current brush seal. That might be enough to fill the gap the air is getting through.
Cheap enough to attempt.0 -
Just a quick question. My current seals are like slide in rather than self adhesive, something like below.
My problem is that when I measured current one their base seemed to be 7mm but I can find only 6.5mm. Would it be a big problem if I got 6.5mm instead?

that pile is actually 4.5mm across the base. The pile carrier it inserts to may be ~7mm though (Mighton's is 7.5mm).0

Correct. I used Mighton as an example. I pulled existing one out a bit to measure and it was 7mm0

I have just taken out seals and the base is certainly 7mm. I can't find it anywhere, looks like 4.8mm-5mm is standard. I just fitted that to the top and it barely holds can't replace side seals though as 4.8mm moves too much. Could someone pls help me out where I can find replacement for below?

any use? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234647213088?
depending upon how much you need may be cheaper to go with someone like https://www.nichelocks.com/Security-Products/Multi-Point-Locks/Door/Accessory/Strips-Seals/POLYBOND-Pile-Brush-Seal-7mm-High-6.9mm-Backing-1m?
Have you asked a local double glazing/fabricating company if they can help at all with supply only for replacement seals?0 -
muffinek said:As far as I can see it is predominately top and one of the sides. How do I get right thickness of seals or they are just standard thickness?
