Hello
I ve got upvc double glazed window that needs drought proofing. I can see blinds moving when it is completely shut. I think the window is about 8yrs old.
I don't really know where to start so would appreciate any advice I can get.

can you trace where on the window the draughts are coming from (smoke from an incense stick is good for this)?
Is it the sides or the meeting rail?
Does it already have seals fitted & what condition are they in?0 -
There are seals fitted. I am not sure how to comment on their condition. I attached couple photos. It looks like the issue is with one of the sides and top of the window

In my experience of modern sash windows the most likely spot for a draught is at the side and top of bottom section of the window.
You can get foam inserts which you cut to shape and insert there.
Look a bit like toe spacers used for painting nails.0 -
So, as I said you really need to narrow down where the draught(s) is coming from - around the frame or around the sashes.
The smoke from incense sticks is good for this.
If it is around the frame then you need to fill the gaps.
If it is around the sashes somewhere (sides or top/bottom) then you may need to replace or add seals. There are normally 2 types of fixing - simple stick on or those that slide into slots in the profiles.0 -
As far as I can see it is predominately top and one of the sides. How do I get right thickness of seals or they are just standard thickness?0
