Stick with FTTC or jump to FTTP?

FYI , many ISP don’t have different prices for FTTC and FTTP , so there is no reason why FTTC should be cheaper than FTTP for the same ‘speed’ , Openreach have incentives for ISP that can get their customers to move onto FTTP when it’s available, but as there are obviously costs to this ( a tech has to visiting and install the new hardware ) it’s not surprising that it’s usually a 24 month deal , that way the costs of the install can be ameliorated over the 24 month term….you could find a FTTP provider that will offer a 12 month term , but will likely charge something for the installation, and probably be more expensive per month .
As said , if it’s the lowest price and flexibility to leave after 12 months that are paramount, Now TV FTTC is the obvious choice , (out of the options you have quoted)

I might go for Vodafone. Is the CPI increase based on the pre-discount or discounted monthly price?
Edit: I’ve seen the light and I’m going with FTTP. Just trying to decide between Plusnet and Vodafone (both Openreach).
Edit 2: Does anyone have any feedback for Vodafone FTTP?0 -
Anyone? Keen to hear about Vodafone.0

What you will probably hear back is all those horrifying stories of when things go wrong and their CS is as useful as a chocolate fireguard. These stories will be true for these individuals, no doubt, but i've had some pretty hellish experiences with BT especially in the past when they were offshore CS.
With regards to the CPI increase i think it's nailed on it will be on pre-discount price.

Same here. I had some bad experiences with BT before when I was with them. I contacted them a few days ago to enquire about FTTP. The advisor I spoke to needed to take some details off me to get through part of the order process to see the engineer diary. I only wanted to enquire about engineer availability. Couple of days later, I was notified that BT had carried out a hard credit check - something that the advisor I spoke to didn’t mention. Sent in a formal complaint yesterday.
I’ve been with Plusnet for a few years and they’ve been great - reliable service, and customer service has been great when I needed them. One time my speeds bottomed out, but Plusnet were helpful and sent an engineer out who confirmed a fault on the line down the road which was repaired a couple of days later.
I’m tempted by Vodafone as their deals are cheaper than Plusnet.1 -
Whist i'm here i wonder if someone more clued up could explain some of the results from my line/exchange status results. Would be appreciated-
Downstream line clean- 31.1 high 20.6 low
Downstream impacted - 30.5 high 18 low
Downstream handback threshold- 18 clean and 14.9 impacted.
My current speeds are estimated at 17-19 Mbps and min guarantee of 15. We're on FTTC currently but cable was laid for FTTP a few months. We're not that close to a cabinet and were told at the time that was the fastest possible 2 years ago when we renewed contract.
Do these results mean if i want anything faster than approx 30 Mbps then i'm gonna have to to FTTP anyway.??
Also curious about these handback threshold figures?? Are these figures especially the 14.9 to show a failing service. Just wondered as my min guarantee is 15 or it that coincidence??

BT are just too expensive and playing hardball with me but they do at least have UK reps...but at a price0 -

BT are just too expensive and playing hardball with me but they do at least have UK reps...but at a priceI think they’re UK. I placed an order with them last year and cancelled when Plusnet made a counter-offer. I rang Vodafone a few times and each person I spoke to was UK-based.1 -
Cheers. Even without the voucher they're still below BT for me.1
