Just the economy is uncertain at present

The economy today and the stock market today are only indirectly linked.

The stock market is more based on what might happen in the economy in the next 6 to 24 months.

March 2020 was scary although no one could have planned for the covid  pandemic.

Because it is funds not indivitual shares wasn't moved.

    Just stayed the course.

There is often ‘something scary’ going on in terms of stock market investing. Just keep reminding yourself that you’re in it for the long haul so frequent ups & downs don’t matter much.

I have now bought the Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap Index funds and filled the Iweb transform online.

It did say that with Hargreaves Lansdown it will be an online transfer and wont need to sign the form and post back but the form has still popped up called them they say the system is playing up that I should still return the form.

The form has now been signed and posted.

Hopefully my ISA funds will be transferred soon to Iweb.

Worth noting that the CV falls were only the third largest in the last 25 years.  Circa 35% drop compared to 43% and 45% for the dot.com crash and credit crunch.

With such falls it is funny with phycology that would be a good time to buy more in sales but fear sometimes creep in. In my case I had used up my ISA allowance earlier. Next time would buy with non ISA and transfer in the new tax year.

My funds transfer from HL to Iweb has been fast. Already showing in my Iweb account.

The process is straightforward, glad it has been done although not complete as holdings also showing in HL account.

Likely completes in the next few days and will get the £100 cashback.

    Thanks all,

My Iweb transfer is complete from HL to Iweb.

Now have all my ISA funds with Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap Index Accumulation.

ISA Funds still with Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap Index Accumulation and more manageable.

I also have some money in instant access accounts with Santander, Chip and Tanden (need to think of what to do as large amount in cash, will move some to the ISA funds in April with new ISA allowance).

Some amount in the Barclays ISA fix ending January.

I think HL is very good platform to screen funds, ETFs and shares. I have my regular monthly ISA contribution and buy global fund.
At the end of the year, I'm going to sell it, buy V3AB and then transfer. Although it's more expensive to buy in HL, I don't want to lose out with, time out of market.

I transferred all my other holding to iWeb and hold the cheapest Global fund.

I had other funds but sold all to have 1.

    So far happy with Iweb
