I have found Polycell Crack Free Ceilings works by itself on fine cracks, and covers/lasts long over larger cracks that have been pre-filled. By the latter, I mean cracks that tend to return due to wood movement etc go away for long when painted with this stuff.0

I wass advised by a reputable decorator after I paid him to do the job - to brush out any dust with a clean paiintbrush, scrape some pollyfiller in smallish sections, scrrape of excess and then gently swipe a just damp paint brush side tto side across the crack.
It worked really well for me over years in an Edwardian house and I still use that technique on the dry wall I now have.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
