I can't see any abuse. Just advice informing you of what your consumer rights are. Sorry it's not what you wanted to hear.

They don't have to offer any refund but you are being offered 50% refund as a gesture of good will. They then take the risk of being able to re-sell the tickets.

Your insurance has said your reasons for cancelling are not valid, so perhaps give your O2 login to a friend and see if they want to go and see the gig for half price? Or just go anyway?

Maybe a bit late now but I assume there's a way to get physical tickets? If it's not too late get those and sell them on via another method.

Quite a few 'mobile' tickets available on Twickets - not sure how they're managing to do it - but with varying prices and most accepting 'offers'
