is there any where in the legislation or elsewhere that limits the time that the appellant has for requesting a POPLA code from the car park operator?
If so what is that time limit please?

You cannot get a PoPLA code without having submitted an appeal to the parking company and the appeal being rejected by the parking company.
A PoPLA code will be supplied with that initial appeal rejection.
The timescales through the appeals process are stated in the BPA's Code of Practice.
Who is the car park operator?
Have they rejected your initial appeal and not supplied a PoPLA code?2 -
It was Heathrow drop off but I was remiss and left it from september0

Did you make an initial appeal to APCOA?roger.taggart said:It was Heathrow drop off but I was remiss and left it from septemberPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. What does that mean?roger.taggart said:...I was remiss and left it from september
Does it mean you visited the dropoff area in September but have yet to respond to any Parking Charge Notice?1 -
I read somewhere on this forum that there was no time limit for a popla code but if past the guidelines then operator will not issue one although they could if they wanted0

That's probably right.roger.taggart said:I read somewhere on this forum that there was no time limit for a popla code but if past the guidelines then operator will not issue one although they could if they wanted
But when one considers that the sole raison d'être of these parking companies is to squeeze money from unsuspecting motorists, why would anyone expect to be offered a second chance to make an appeal if it wasn't absolutely necessary?1 -

I have a POPLA code from APCOA (finally generated after a complaint to the BPA). What is the latest day I can submit my appeal with the code by please?
The "reissued appeal rejection" was dated Friday 28th October. So, 28 days is this week - Friday 25th November.
Can I still submit it later than that ? I have read I can submit it on day 30/31. However, I am worried that if I go past 28 days I won't be able to submit it.
Thank you.Next post follows in a moment ...0 -
PoPLA codes last 32 days, possibly 33. If you need further help, please start your own thread.CockneyBrum said:I have a POPLA code from APCOA (finally generated after a complaint to the BPA). What is the latest day I can submit my appeal with the code by please?
