Last minute still not confirmed flights

Hi,
I’m starting to get worried as I’ve booked flights for 11th Dec with last minute on Friday and still haven’t had the flights confirmed. The flights are with jet 2 and I can’t book direct with them.

I can’t email, call them and just got round in circles with their chat bot that says go to the account which says still to be confirmed. I’m starting to get worried as I paid with my chase debit card so have no credit card protection and have non refundable hotels and excursions booked. I have insurance.
I’m worried as all the reviews on last minute are shocking. Wish I’d properly checked this and booked a package now.
Any help or advice especially on how to get to speak to last minute would be really helpful.
Thanks

when you make a booking request with a third party without live availability or pricing it can take them a couple of days to confirm if they can fulfil the request or not. Sometimes they will contact to advise and ask for more money, other times the poorer companies appear to just do nothing - I would expect that you should have received a confirmation by now if they were able to provide.
Are the flights sold out on the Jet2 site or are they charter flights? (I know Jet2 do lapland flights that don't appear on their site)
You should still be able to do a chargeback for items paid for but not received

As Caz says, your debit card gives you protection: you can ask them to chargeback all that you paid.
Presuming that you bought flights and hotels on the same booking you also have some protection under the regulations for package holidays.0 -

May seem obvious but have you checked your junk/spam email folder? If you have not used LM before you may find the email confirmation has ended up there.0

Thanks all. They’ve just emailed to confirm they can’t process the flight after 5 days and I have the refund. I now have £2,500 worth of non-refundable flights and excursions 🙈.0

I mean non refundable hotels and excursions 🙈0

Aren't there any other flights that could get you there (and back) in timescales close enough to avoid wasting those non-refundable bookings?
This is undoubtedly a risk with making separate independent bookings rather than packages, but hopefully not irretrievable....0 -
I’ve looked and can fly to Finland and then hire a car and drive 2 1/2 hrs to Lapland but it’s costing a fortune. Contacted Inghams to book a 7 night package as cheaper and not turn up at the hotel as it’s a different resort, but they said if we don’t show we’d probably lose our return flights.Insurance company said it’s not clear in their t’s and c’s but I could try to make a claim.
Guess it’s a very expensive slice lesson…0 -

It is not all that unusual for people to book a package and then not use the accommodation: no reason for you to lose your return flights. (And to make sure you could stay in the accommodation for a day, or something.)
Perhaps what they meant was that if you don't use the outbound part of an air ticket then you lose the return flights, a rule that is set in stone.0
