Despite all the positive comments, there is always a possibility that the automated ID check throws up an issue, and they will request some documentation. This can happen with any provider, maybe more with some than others, although there are no statistics to prove this though.XDA said:What is everyone’s experience of opening an online account with Skipton? Is it straightforward with online identity checks or do they need paperwork posted to them?Exactly this.It happened to me a while ago. In the past I had a regular saving with them, have not changed the address the contact number so they should have got my detail. They asked me to send the certified copy. So I ignored them. This year I applied one of their Easy Access Saver account. It got approved straight away, no ifs, no buts.Bank verification is still a mystery to me.

I was just looking for a general consensus on what they’re like to deal with etc in addition to the account opening process.
I’m going to open an account and see what happens. 🤞🏻“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”0 -

Their customer service is very good and processes not bad for a Building Society; certainly better than the neighbouring Yorkshire Building Society.XDA said:
