Vodafone - EU roaming still included after renewal?.

I'm heading abroad to a couple of EU destinations in the next few weeks so thought I'd check in the app details on the £8 for 8 days roaming saver.

However, the app says I have "Inclusive roaming in 51 European destinations" (which started in March 2018 apparently).

I've been SIM only pay monthly for over a decade now, and renewed for a couple more years a few months back (required the get the latest "retentions" price).

I was under the impression all renewals after Aug 2021 would no longer have this, unless you're on a pricy tariff, which I'm not.

Anyone know if EU roaming is indeed retained for customers renewing after all?

Some Vodafone PAYM plans do include European roaming, the snappily titled "Unlimited data Xtra Airtime Plans with 4 Xtra benefits". What plan is showing in the app?

It's £10 a month.

Clearly states in the Manage Controls and Extras/Roaming section of the app that I still have this as part of the package, though the one off £8 and £15 roaming deals are listed too with big red "buy" buttons.

Guess I'll find out when abroad in a week or two

Just looked at the app for my plan (Red 20GB, £16), and the same text about "Inclusive roaming in 51 European destinations" appears too.

Be a bit miffed if this is correct, paid £23 quid in September for 3 weeks roaming in Greece.  Digging a bit further into the T&C it does seem that the Red plans w/out the Extras do not include roaming but it might be worth asking Vodafone's CS (if you have the time, patience and faith in anything they say and can take the suspense of waiting for the post-trip bill).

Yeah I've just got to Tenerife and been stung £2 for roaming already. Checked the app now and it still says I have Inclusive roaming for 51 European destinations started in March 2018.

I'll hassle customer services when I get back as I expect a refund as it's there in black and white.

If the app is wrong I'd have bought the £8 for 8 days thing, but as it's telling me I have inclusive roaming I didn't. So they can "goodwill" a full/partial refund due their bugged app.

I stayed with my sim only contract (started in 2018) despite Vodafone seeking to get me to switch precisely because I knew I would lose roaming if and when I did.
