Wizzair comphensation help please

Options
Back in September 2022 myself and my brother had a flight from Gdańsk to liverpool cancelled as we we were actually boarding.  No explanation was given and wizzair basically abandoned us.
We had a 6 hour wait in a queue for help with no food or drink provided,  eventually after gettto the front of the queue we were told the only flight available to the United Kingdom was 4 days later and that even though we had a wait of 4 days they would only provide accommodation for 1 night with no transport or costs for food, we had to pay for everything ourselves.
We accepted the flight as at the time we had no alternative but did tell them that it was unacceptable as we had to return to the UK before that because of work commitments and medical reasons.
We eventually secured flights with ryanair 2 days later at a cost of £360 each plus hotels, taxis and food we were out of pocket to the tune of over £940.
On arrival home we started a claim for compensation through the wizzair site as directed.
I started 2 seperate claims,  one for the initial flight cancellation and another for welfare compensation ( flights, hotels etc.
After a 4 week wait they offered €250 flight delay compensation for one person despite me including a power of attorney for my brother and also no mention of welfare compensation,  I rejected this.
They have now admitted liability to the cancellation of the flight and offered €500 standard compensation for 2 passengers.
However they still haven't answered anything on welfare compensation.
Were do I go from here? Am I ok to accept the flight cancellation compensation and still pursue them for welfare compensation? Or will they close the claim?

Can I use ADR for welfare compensation?

Basically what are my options as we are still over £940 out of pocket and wizzair seems to be ignoring the welfare claim
Thanks

If you've made separate claims then accepting one shouldn't prejudice another.

However, it would be worth ensuring that you use the correct terminology, as the regulations entitle you to claim under three separate headings:
    1. Right to compensation
    2. Right to reimbursement or re-routing
    3. Right to care
It sounds like they've accepted the first of these, but 2 and 3 are still different items, neither of which is 'welfare compensation'.

Under 2, they're obliged to rearrange flights for you at the earliest opportunity (or give you the option of a refund, which you won't want if the new flights were more expensive), so if the earliest opportunity meant flying with another airline then you're entitled to those costs, provided you reversed your acceptance of the replacement Wizzair flights (and preferably got them to agree to the earlier ones).

The right to care under item 3 covers you for reimbursement of costs of hotel accommodation for as many nights as were necessary (not just one), plus reasonable costs of meals and transportation such as taxis.

If they refuse to comply with any of their obligations then yes, you have the option of escalating to ADR.
