Yes you must or you will risk a CCJ at your old address behind your back.
Send them the LBC response from the second post of the NEWBIES thread, which includes address confirmation. Add the words:
You must erase my old address which is no longer good for service.Your request of a payment suspension period on [date] has now passed, and the balance of £170.00 remains outstanding.
Our Client is therefore satisfied the case against you should proceed unless the debt owing of £170.00 is discharged in full.
To ensure no further action is taken, you should make payment no later than 30 days from the date of this correspondence.
In the event we do not receive payment within the time scale specified, our Client reserves all its rights including the right to commence Court proceedings, without further reference to you.
In the event it becomes necessary to issue proceedings, we kindly suggest you follow the steps on the claim form upon receipt of the same.
It is at this juncture we remind you of your right to access independent legal/debt management advice if you are unsure of the process. My previous email to them said:
I am seeking debt advice but I deny any debt and the case must be put on hold for not less than 30 days under the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims 2017.
I have sent your client a Subject Access Request and am awaiting a satisfactory fulfilment of this.So should my email about my updated address just mention my updated address, or should I include other parts of the template response from the newbies thread? Perhaps everything except the 'I am sourcing...' paragraph?
Thanks again or your help!

You need to send a Data Rectification Notice (DRN) to the DPO of the parking company, advising them of your new address for service and requiring them to erase your old data and advise any and all of their agents and sub-contractors of same. For completeness you could also send a DRN to the solicitor.3

Which is why I said to simply add a sentence to the template LBC response.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello, having recently updated the PPC and Gladstones about a change of address, Gladstones have put it in a pile to reissue a LBC (bearing in mind the original LBC was sent in Aug 2023). This time it was solely sent via email/electronically.
Should I bother responding in anyway this time around, or duly ignore for now?
As an aside, when I updated my address, I also updated my email address with them - a random email given only to the PPC and their agent. Within a few days I was receiving malicious spam email with phishing links to it. So they are selling or transferring people's data as well, or at bare minimum their databases are severely compromised.0 -
They are testing the address. I would reply in order to stop them reverting deliberately to the old DVLA address.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The new LBC has also only been sent by email/electronically (it says this on the letter itself and no postal address is on it this time around).
Should I respond to the new LBC like I did the previous one? Standard response, SAR, 30 days consideration under PAP?Or is this not relevant this time around as I’ve already done that? Alternatively should I respond differently - or not at all?
Thank you very much!0 -
Any advice on if I should respond and, if so, how I should respond for this second LBC sent much later?
Also - does them having not sent a postal copy 'invalidate' it?0 -
I'm not changing my advice: I'm of the view that you should respond. Even more so, now you've said this LBC has no address on it.
Reconfirm the address for service. Only takes an email reply.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
