I'm at the stage of submitting a SAR to the PPC and email to solicitors following Letter Before Claim.

(After the usual several letters from 'Debit Recovery Plus' which were duly filed but otherwise ignored, the LBC arrived from Gladstones.)

PPC (PPS London) has made both the terms and conditions and privacy pages of their website non-existent (links leads back to homepage) so I cannot find any specific information regarding their DPO or data concerns.

I'm assuming I should just direct my SAR to the PPC's generic contact email in this case?

Send it to the info@ email address, but also try dpo@ as well.

In addition, complain to the BPA and the ICO that this company does not display it's privacy information nor their DPO contact information.

Private Parking Solutions (London) Ltd have made a right mess of their website.

As well as the missing Privacy pages, the following errors can be seen...

The SERVICES dropdown from their homepage offers six options. Absolutely nothing at all happens when clicking on five of those options, and for the sixth option a 'page not found' message is shown.

This little snip from their LEGALITIES dropdown from their homepage may be of interest...
The Protection of Freedom Act 2012 (POFA 2012) Schedule 4 provides regulation for recovery of parking charge notices issued on private land. The act introduces keeper liability for the first time on private land - on condition that an independent adjudication service is made available for motorists.

The Act stipulates that contract (car park terms and conditions) is between the driver and car park operator. If the driver is unknown then the registered keeper of the vehicle is requested to provide the name and the address of the driver. If the register keeper refuses to do this or ignores the notice to keeper then after 28 days have passed, the registered keeper becomes liable for the parking charge and can be pursued for payment.

I can't be bothered to list all the other problems with their website, but I'll finish with this short extract from the start of their FAQs page...
And to cap it all the footer on that FAQ page states...

All needs reporting to the BPA. Pathetic.

Yes, it's pretty dire. I have reported them to the BPA.

I've emailed their generic email address for the SAR and will wait a little longer to email Gladstones.

I've also complained and appealed directly to the landowner (BT).

BPA have been pretty useless in this regard, saying they are not interested and have no capacity to deal with 'GDPR' issues and everything would have to go via the ICO.

The PPC have also been useless in response to my SAR. They've sent me not even close to all the data they hold on me, despite saying they have. For instance, they've not sent me anywhere near all the photographs they hold on me, or many of the documents. It's clearly not an acceptable fulfilment of a SAR.

So apparently they feel they can just do whatever they want on their own terms.

Reporting to the ICO and uploading some evidence takes about 10 mins.  Very easy!

Hello, I am briefly resuscitating my thread here, to query some things about it.

I haven't heard anything from Gladstones or PPS London since September 2023 as far as my records show. I had the generic LBC in Aug 23 and followed the standard advice.

I am now moving address, so my questions are as follows:
    • How long do they have to make any claim?
    • Does the time passed with no correspondence from them matter?
    • Do I need to provide Gladstones and/or PPC with my new address? If so, how best to do this (obviously wanting to avoid this new communication getting them all excited about the nonsense claim again).
Thank you very much for any advice.

    6 years.

Yes you must or you will risk a CCJ at your old address behind your back.

Send them the LBC response from the second post of the NEWBIES thread, which includes address confirmation.  Add the words:

You must erase my old address which is no longer good for service.
