Gladstones will pay you, they have no option. whether their client will pay them for being a failure who knows ?ripofflondon said:The judge said that his order would require Gladstones to pay my costs within 14 days and a few ppl have asked me 'what happens if they don't pay up?'
So that is an interesting question, and if anyone else has had experience of this then pls feel free to share.
NO PAYMENT = COURT BAILIFFS. there is a charge but it is added to the debt so you get it back.
They either collect full payment or seize goods to the value which are sold
Simply put, the infamous Gladstones are backed into a corner2

I think the term "hoisted by their own petard" applies. 2 2

Coupon / Yankee / Patient - noted. I see Gladstones have form in this area - Gladstones Solicitors Reviews | Read Customer Service Reviews of www.gladstonessolicitors.co.uk (trustpilot.com)
And they got fined £15,000 by the SRA in 2021. I'd love to be able to say it's because they're grubby, disingenuous, ambulance-chasing, sordid, bullying private parking industry shysters but no, it’s merely because they held the fruits of their legalised extortion activities in the wrong account - www.solicitorstribunal.org.uk/sites/default/files-sdt/12265.2021.Gladstones%20Limited.pdf2

Hi all - me again.Following my attending the hearing at Brentford County Court on 2 Aug, I received an Order in the post confirming that the Claim has been struck out. However, what was also discussed at the hearing and, I thought, agreed, was that I would also be entitled to compensation for my travel costs (2 x £1.75) and £70 for ½ day’s salary as I’d had to take ½ a day of leave from work - yet the Order contains no mention of this. I received the Order in the post about 10 days ago and was then away from home for a week so was expecting something separate to arrive relating to the compensation – but it has not. Is this normal? Thanks, Keith - I have. Am wondering if it's one of those situations when the court will tell me 'you should have had a legal adviser to point out XYZ'

Email the court immediately and address your concern about a costs omission in the Order. Write it to the Judge.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon. I stated the name of the judge (and it was in the copy of the order I emailed them) so we will have to wait and see.1
