These b---ds don't hang around - I've already had the Directions Questionnaire emailed to me by Gladstones
So you have received a copy of the Claimant's DQ.

How to deal with that is described in item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence.
  • Aha – just got off the phone with Abdul at the CCBC (after a 50 min wait) and he has confirmed that they have ‘errored off’ the original MCOL defence and substituted the subsequent one instead (which I have in turn confirmed myself in an email as suggested).

Good stuff - onwards and upwards.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Fantastic; now pop out and buy a lottery ticket!
  • Hi again all.

I was just looking at how to complete the DQ (and when I need to send it back by) - I have been in Cornwall for the last 2 weeks and it was sent to my home address in London on 23/11/2022 so I was looking at downloading it and completing it online.  Bargepole's post on this is great - Court Claim Procedure (updated October 2016) — MoneySavingExpert Forum - thanks KeithP for pointing me towards it.
Just 2 questions - the HMCTS link www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-n180-directions-questionnaire-small-claims-track makes reference to a new version of the N180 form being published in June 2022- do I need to use that one or the original, and how long to I have to complete the DQ and send it back?

    Cheers

Fill out whichever version you were sent as long as this came from the CCBC and not the solicitors.

The letter from the CCBC already tells you how long there is to return it (and serve a copy to the other side).

This stage is also covered in the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread. The 1st post explains DQ stage and the first letter from the C's solicitors.

  • Yeah, the issue is it went to my home address after I left and I am not back there until the weekend, so just wondered if anyone knew offhand.

The weekend is fine. No rush.

In fact, in less than an hour the court service closes. Anything received by them after 4pm will be deemed as received on Monday.
  • Cool cool cool - many thanks.
