Cancelling Gymophobics Membership

I am finding it very difficult to afford my Gymophobics membership. I have had to cut right back on monthly outgoings and one of the things I can no longer afford is my gym membership. I joined in June this year and signed up for twelve months but as it’s a contract I cannot break it. I have an option of suspending it temporarily but honestly cannot see how I’m going to afford it in the near future. I’m just wondering if anyone had any success in cancelling their membership please?

Gymophobics is a franchise, so you may find that the policies vary a little depending on who the franchisee is. Have you tried talking to the person who runs your branch to see what they are able to offer?
How long are they willing to suspend it for?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

How long will they suspend it for, AND how many times?
I ask because DH has had an online subscription to something which he's been suspending for y-e-a-r-s. I keep asking why he doesn't just cancel it, given that it wouldn't cost him anything to do so (therefore unlike your gym situation). It's tedious, but he's happy just suspending it again, and reasonably reliable at remembering to do so ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
