hi
booked flights with Gulf air- they are economy flights with non-refundable policy
1- I have found same airline same flight time nearly £700 cheaper! What are my rights to get a price difference refund?
2- I called to cancel and rebuy at lower price they only let me cancel £200 charge per person which for me is £800
is there anyway to cancel without incurring this cost?
thanks in advance

Airline pricing is dynamic and can change based on many factors.
Unfortunately the answer is no to both questions.PMadvice said:hi

If you'd seen the flights go up in price by £700, would you get in touch with Gulf Air to offer them the extra?0 -
No, but if you buy a product from a shop and they drop the price you can claim a refund for difference?0

Which shop ?PMadvice said:No, but if you buy a product from a shop and they drop the price you can claim a refund for difference?0 -
I brought airfryer and price dropped within 1 month of buying and John Lewis gave back the difference0

So basically there’s nothing I can do😔0

You can if the retailer offers such a policy or agrees to as a gesture of goodwill, but there's no legislation forcing shops just like there isn't for airlines.PMadvice said:No, but if you buy a product from a shop and they drop the price you can claim a refund for difference?
When buying the cheapest air fares they are almost always non-refundable. In future you could book fully flexible/refundable tickets but they would cost many times what you paid.PMadvice said:So basically there’s nothing I can do😔1 -
Sounds like a John Lewis specific policy.PMadvice said:I brought airfryer and price dropped within 1 month of buying and John Lewis gave back the difference

Flight prices are and always have been hugely fluid, they'll go up and down a lot depending on how fast the flight is filling and lots of other factors, eg prices to business locations generally increase and prices to tourist destinations generally decrease closer to the flight date (since leisure travellers tend to book in advance and business travellers tend to book late), although very last minute is generally expensive.
