Is it every time she lies down and it doesn't matter where she lies? Is she able to get comfortable and will settle eventually or does she just lay there staring?

I'm just wondering if it's pain she only experiences on lying down. I've had experiences with my cats where they crouch and stare when they're in pain. I also have a border terrier but haven't ever seen that behaviour in her.

She settled down eventually but she's at it again today. I've considered all these suggestions but really no wiser. Considering that we had a fly trapped in the house for a few days and thinking she might still be looking for it, or she's gone completely mad. Worried that she's stressed out.
  • If she doesn't appear to be in pain or real distress then I'd just keep an eye on her and see if anything changes over the next few days. If not perhaps a visit to the vets to give her a check over?

Any change in behaviour should be checked out by a vet.

yes I think I'll take her to the vet as soon as possible. But I've just been reading about fly snapping syndrome in dogs. Thinking it could be this or possibly some floaters in her eyes. I will take a video to the vet with me.
  • How long have you had her, and how old is she ?

Haven't taken her yet. We had her stripped yesterday and she seems to have settled down a bit. Just keeping an eye on things for now.
