Haggling with Magnet

Can anyone share their experience haggling with Magnet - how much further you were able to get them from their initial price (which always seem to include as standard 50% off units and discounted appliances) and any general advice on negotiating the best price?

Will not ever use Magnet - Went in there for a quote and gave them my email address with specific instructions that it was only to be used to send me renderings and not marketing. Had to go back in and rip the "salesman" a new one in front of a customer after they started to spam me....A local independent was able to come up with a cheaper quote for a better design - I would suggest you explore that option before going to the likes of Magnet & Howdens.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

OP
We used B&Q and many slag them off, and we were happy with their top-end cabinets/etc.
A work buddy used Howdens and they were happy with it
I'm sure there are people that are pro and against but the likes of Magnet/Howdens/B&Q etc
on the whol must be doing something right
With any seller, IMO if it is an above-average sized order/price and you ask for a discount, I'm sure they will take something off
or offer a free microwave of the integrated type etc. We got one, it was brandless but saved us money and fitted in well with the black Smeg f/freezer, hob/oven etc.
We got kitchen desgins from b and q and wickes happy with both as we knew what we wanted and both sales had a few good tips
So ask don't be shy0
