CEX BLP letter
Options
In April we sold an old phone to CEX, it was a unlocked phone that we brought from music magpie 1+ years before and had been paid for in full. It was never insured and not attached to a specific network or provider.
This week I have received a letter from BLP stating that the phone had since been blocked by the ‘provider’ and they can’t tell me why but its likely due to unpaid debt or its been reported lost or stolen.
I contacted CEX as thought it must be a scam and they confirmed that the phone is blocked. I don’t understand how this could happen with no outstanding debt and we haven’t reported it lost or stolen.
I’m now being told i need to pay them £260 (£131 more than we got from them when we sold the phone) within 10 days or they will make the claim at court!

Has anyone had a similar experience? What are my rights? I have tried to find help online but can’t find anything at all!!
TIA
