As the UBI ayment from Santander was still pending this morning, I called Santander and asked them if it could be cancelled. They advised me that I would receive a call from the back office fraud team asking me if I wished to proceed with the payment or not. When I get the call I will ask them to cancel it.
Plan B is now to go with Ikano or Access Bank UK at 4.5%
Edit. Ikano now closed to new investors!0 -

Its well established , Ive used them since UK launch, no problems at all, looks 'pro' FSCS protected and 14 day funding window.1 -
UBI looking a bit better now I've heard from them (not confirmed funds or login tho'):
Yes we have given 30 days window period . As per your request , we are allowing 2 multiple payment . Please note that if your application was applied on or before 11/11/2022 , you will be eligible for the old interest rate and not the current one which got changed on 12.11.2022

Thanks @soulsaver That update from them changes things for me. If they are going to honour the previous rate, then I won't stop the transfer of funds when Santander contact me.0

And another thing - I owe them an apology: They DID confirm receipt of funds - the confirmation email was intercepted by MS and just discovered it in 'junk' mail.0

Generic eMail received from UBI this morning advising that any applications submitted from 8/11/22 to 11/11/22 will be subject to the previous rates0
