Horizon Parking - Slightly Different

Hello all, thank you for all the work that has gone in to this forum, great info!
So my dilemma which I couldn't see posted previously..
I went to a restaurant I am a frequent patron of, and I am sure I as normal input my registration on their tablet device to access the free parking. I have today received a Parking Charge Notice from Horizon Parking who manage the car park.
My issue is that to explain to them that I believe I input my details but I have to accept that maybe I didn't (unlikely) or that maybe I input it incorrectly is to inform them of the details of the driver...
So I'm after some advice please. I'm happy to tell them that I don't intend to pay and that I will not give the name of the driver but then I don't have any excuse or explanation for not paying for a parking ticket.
Or do I tell them that I believe the machine was faulty in which case they would know as they would have issued tons of tickets for that day..
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome.
Nothing different about your situation.
The keeper should send the blue text template appeal easily found in the opening post of the NEWBIES thread.
Send it unchanged.
What did the restaurant say when you complained to them?1 -
I would make two changes to the template appeal.
1. Ask them to check for a possible 'keying error' because the VRM keypad was used (DO NOT SAY WORDS LIKE 'I used it' or that would imply you were driving and ruin your 100% nailed-on win as registered keeper);
2. they haven't used the POFA 2012 wording from 9(2)f of Schedule 4, so Horizon may as well give up now because the driver hasn't been identified.
Obviously you do NOT tick 'driver' when appealing a non-POFA PCN...
Please don't ask how we know Horizon PCNs are non-POFA. The above wording tells you!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, thank you for replying. I didn't think the blue text template was particularly relevant in my instance, which was why I sought advice from here.KeithP said:Hello and welcome.

I spoke with the restaurant and they said they can't do anything about it because the company don't let them as they have put too many corrections through.0 -

Which is proof that they are just scamming people for money

Struggling to see anything different here - Don't make that mistake as it invariably ends in failure!1
