Using Lisa to buy house with partner

Hi all, my son is hopefully going to buy his first house with his girlfriend over the next couple of years. Although it is my son's first property his girlfriend already has a mortgage on her own house. I would like to know if he would be able to use a Lisa if they are going to have a joint mortgage as she's had already had a property.i hope this makes sense.
Thanks
Thanks

Yes, he can use a LISA in his own name. This is all in the LISA guide on the MSE website by the waygazmc said:Hi all, my son is hopefully going to buy his first house with his girlfriend over the next couple of years. Thanks for your reply. I had a look through the guide but couldn't find a definitive answer. I did wonder if they both had to be first time buyers.0

"If you're a first-time buyer making a purchase with someone who's owned before, you can still open one and use it towards a home purchase together, but the partner who's previously owned a property can't open one."
They've even drawn a picture.../info-buyingtogether.jpg.rendition.992.992.jpg)

Assuming property fulfils criteria for LISA - e.g. buying a home (not BTL), ≤450kgazmc said:Hi all, my son is hopefully going to buy his first house with his girlfriend over the next couple of years.
